TRASYS is based in the Rozendal Park, in Brussels and located in several European countries: Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Spain and United Kingdom.
TRASYS has a customer-oriented organisation with two axes: the sectors' role is to develop Trasys' business insight and leadership at Trasys’ customers by offering all of our services, while the Operations' role, is to develop Trasys' leadership across those services and this towards all TRASYS Sectors (see Figure 4 1).
TRASYS is jointly owned by the groups Ackermans & van Haaren and Compagnie Nationale à Portefeuille and the Management of TRASYS.
TRASYS specializes in software design and development, systems architecture and systems integration and systems support. 30% of TRASYS business is generated from projects with the European Institutions and International Institutions and Bodies. Among others, major clients include the European Commission, the European Parliament, the European Council, the European Medicines Evaluation Agency (EMEA), the European Space Agency (ESA) and Eurocontrol.
TRASYS has developed a unique value-position, and is a main supplier of IT consulting and software development services to the European Commission Directorates General in the different locations: Brussels, Luxembourg, Italy, Netherlands and Spain.
TRASYS relies on highly qualified staff of over 600 people and proposes high level IT services to analyze, understand, design solutions and fulfill the customer's needs. Owing to the unique combination of strong software and engineering skills in various fields, TRASYS has a flexible commercial approach to respond to the customer's needs, enabling it to implement the most advanced methodologies and technologies. TRASYS has implemented a company-wide program of Quality Assurance and was originally certified by Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI) on January the 4th 1995.
|DR. KONSTANTINOS KAPELLOS, of TRASYS is specialised in Space Robotics Applications. He has wide experience in Space Automation and Robotics systems, automatic control of electro-mechanical systems, robot vision based control, robot control architectures, simulation and space robotics operations. He implemented innovative control architectures on various robotics systems including robotic arms, mobile robots and free-floating manipulators. Dr. Konstantinos Kapellos, in cooperation with the ESA responsibles, and based on space robotics operations experience, very early recognized the particularities of a ground control system for robotics operations and developed dedicated concepts, methods and tools, all integrated in the DREAMS system. He manages a portfolio of ESA-funded projects including ExoMars ROCS Phase B, 3DROV Simulation Environment, MSSTM (Mars Surface Sample Transfer Mechanism), VIMANCO (Vision Based Control of Non-Cooperative Objects), TELEMAN (Telemanipulation and Teleoperation for Extravehicular Robotics), MUROCO (Multi Robot Behaviour Coordination: An A&R Mission Verification Tool), EUROPA (External Use of Robotics for Payload Automation), CONTEXT, TAPAS robotics projects and the RESCUE project.|
